CG Artwork is somewhat of a fusion between traditional drawing and use of the computer. Though CG is short for "Computer Graphics", it has taken on to meaning "Computer Coloured" or "Digitally Coloured" these days on internet communities.
I do the majority of my drawing with pencil and ink, and occaissionally I will turn it into vectors. Afterwards I colour the line art with a paint program such as Adobe PhotoShop, Painter, or OpenCanvas, utilizing my Wacom Tablet.
The use of a graphics tablet gives me much more freedom in rendering the image how I’d like since it almost feels like painting, rather than clicking and moving a mouse around, thus the results also look and feel much more natural.
Though the line art of the majority of my work is done with traditional media, in recent years I have also begun to use vector drawing programs, such as Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw. Images done with these programs are clean and usually ideal for use in Flash.
